    Basically, i am using an Arduino UNO with an IMU to detect and record waves. I am not a programmer but have managed to get some useful files which work somewhat. The main difficulty i face is combining them all into 1 useable file. I am working on a project in Arduino with limited coding knowledge. I have a few sketches of code which work individually and I'd like to combine them into 1 working code.     I am building a wave buoy with Arduino Uno, Adafruit 9DOF IMU, Arduino Ethernet Shield and a 4G router. I am looking for a code that can accurately detect wave activity using the Adafruit 9DOF IMU sensor and output the results to the cloud platform. There are a few ways to accomplish this, but the one I understood the best was to use a combination of signal processing and data analysis techniques. First using the accelerometer and gyroscope readings from the IMU sensor to calculate the orientation of the device ( not sure whether only using the Z axis/ Heave, or combining pitch and roll ).
