I have a newsletter plugin called "MyMail" that is integrated with a contact form plugin called "Quforms" The MyMail plugin uses cron jobs to trigger when scheduled emails are supposed to be sent out. Here is the issue: I run a wordpress multisite and running cronjobs too often for each site puts to much strees on my server load so I have the cron jobs set up to run only once per hour. I have a freelancer set this up before but it was not done in a smart way and the server load increased VERY VERY high and my database crashed over and over. I need CRON jobs set up in a way that can be handled successfully. These emails should be sent out to visitors almost instantly, at least within 3-4 minutes. I have heard one suggestion that there can be a script run from the server to handle the CRON jobs but the freelancer advising that is busy with a big project. I have an "ELITE" dedicated server with Host Gator. Please help as I need this issue handled right away.
