I have a completed backend using gunicorn/python. The main work load of the server receives a post every 2 seconds with 800 bytes of data which is then posted to another remote server. This is basically acting as a middle man. After it posts the data it sends the 800 byes of data to the rds mysql DB. This simple task with 1 connection is bursting a single $5 Vcpu on amazon lightsail. I need to be able to handle at at-least 200 connections every 2 seconds. I've set up a load balancer but don't want to add more instances until a single instance is optimized and dialed in.
