I am looking for a mechanical designer to create a compact protective frame for a Midas DL431 (6U rack device) using 1" × 1" 80/20 aluminum extrusion. The DL431 should mount using its front rack ears and standard rack rails, and the frame should act as a lightweight touring exoskeleton that protects the unit while remaining open on the sides for airflow and lifting. The framed unit must fit inside a Pelican 1637 Air case, include rear protection for connectors and attached cabling, and allow two identical frames to stack securely using a simple locating or pin system. I need a 3D CAD model, dimensioned drawings, and a complete 80/20 cut list and hardware list so the frame can be fabricated easily. I am specifically looking for someone with practical experience designing aluminum extrusion structures (80/20 or similar), rack-mounted equipment frames, or touring/AV hardware. Familiarity with 19" rack standards (EIA-310), Pelican-style transport cases, and fabrication-ready mechanical drawings is important. The final deliverables should include clear dimensioned drawings, extrusion cut lengths, bracket locations, and a hardware list suitable for direct fabrication. Please include examples of any similar mechanical frames, rack systems, or extrusion-based projects you have designed.
