I need an experienced mechanical engineer to take full ownership of the structural frame that hangs beneath our T-Drones MX1500 and carries up to three detachable cargo containers. Your task is to create a low-mass, high-stiffness solution that locks each pod securely for flight, allows quick ground handling, and satisfies the aviation safety factors we will supply at project kick-off. Scope and workflow • Work with my internal aerodynamics and avionics teams to agree on materials—aluminium, carbon-fibre composites, titanium or a hybrid approach are all on the table—then justify your final selection through stress, vibration and fatigue analysis. • Produce complete CAD (SolidWorks or Siemens NX preferred), FEA reports and a tolerance-controlled drawing set that can be issued directly to fabricators. • Deliver BOM, manufacturing notes, and an outline test plan so we can move straight into prototype build. Project logistics The engagement runs about eight weeks and will be broken into fixed-price milestones; all payments are in Euros. I would rather collaborate with someone based in the UK, but any EU location works if you can provide valid right-to-work documents and align to CET/BST hours for meetings. Acceptance criteria 1. Signed-off structural FEA showing compliance with the safety factors provided. 2. Weight target met (we will freeze this at concept review). 3. Detail drawings, BOM and STEP files released to our PDM vault, ready for procurement. If you have a track record designing lightweight aerospace structures and can start soon, let’s talk.

Hi there, I have extensive experience in lightweight structural design, CAD, and advanced FEA for aerospace and UAV applications. I can take ownership of the suspended cargo frame design from concept through manufacturing-ready deliverables, including material selection, structural optimization, vibration/fatigue assessment, detailed drawings, BOM, and STEP files while ensuring compliance with your required aviation safety factors. Before we proceed, I have two critical questions: 1. Will the MX1500 mounting interface geometry and all design load cases (maneuver, landing, gust, emergency) be provided in CAD? 2. Are there any dimensional constraints, payload CG limits, or quick-release mechanism requirements that must be maintained? I am available to start immediately and can collaborate efficiently with your team throughout the 8-week development period. Best regards, Arati M.

Hi, You need a lightweight, high-stiffness cargo frame that securely carries three detachable pods while meeting structural, vibration, fatigue, and manufacturability requirements for flight operations. I’m a Mechanical Engineer with 12 years of experience in machine design, SolidWorks, ANSYS FEA, and simulation-driven product development. My approach is to begin with load-path and material trade studies, optimize the frame for stiffness-to-weight ratio, validate critical joints through static, vibration, and fatigue analyses, and deliver a production-ready CAD package with controlled tolerances and fabrication documentation. A similar project involved designing a lightweight equipment support frame where topology refinement, FEA-driven optimization, and fatigue assessment reduced structural mass while maintaining the required safety margins. Deliverables include parametric CAD, STEP files, FEA reports, BOM, manufacturing drawings, and an outline prototype test plan. I can deliver the concept phase within the first 1–2 weeks, followed by milestone-based revisions throughout the project. Could you share the expected load cases, attachment interface to the MX1500, and target mass budget? I can also prepare an initial structural concept and material trade-off matrix before detailed design begins.

I understand you require a lightweight, high-stiffness structural frame for your T-Drones MX1500, designed to securely hold three detachable cargo containers while ensuring quick ground handling and meeting aviation safety factors. I recently designed a similar undercarriage system for a UAV that reduced overall weight by 18% while increasing torsional rigidity by 25%. My approach will involve creating a 3D CAD model using SolidWorks, incorporating Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to optimize material usage and predict structural performance under load. I will generate detailed manufacturing drawings for the chosen material (likely an aluminium alloy or carbon fibre composite, pending material team agreement) and a bill of materials. What is the maximum allowable deflection for the frame under a full 3-container load, considering both static and dynamic flight conditions? Ready to start as soon as you confirm scope.
