Moving a machine from concept to build-ready work means locking functional specs first, then modelling assemblies that can actually be cut, bent, and fastened with standard CNC and fabrication methods. Pretty CAD that interferes or hides fasteners is not finished design. I would translate your requirements into mechanical specs, develop the 3D model in SolidWorks (STEP/IGES on hand-off), produce dimensioned fabrication drawings with ISO tolerances, and deliver a BOM with materials and finishes plus a short design-rationale note. We iterate stage by stage with exploded views before locking each gate. If load cases appear, I flag FEA needs and adjust geometry accordingly. I regularly deliver SolidWorks mechanical assemblies and production drawings for equipment where manufacturability and fastener access are acceptance criteria. Which CAD package do you want as the native master (SolidWorks preferred on my side), and can you share the functional requirements or concept sketches so I can outline the first modelling gate? How do you plan to sequence the stages: approve the specifications first, then the model, then the drawings? Without written functional requirements and FEA loads, it will just be guesswork, so those need to be provided before the first model. My most relevant experience: equipping a profile-cutting section, motorizing positioning with feedback, and drawings for assemblies and tooling. What kind of machine is this, and what is its duty cycle?
