I have a set of STL scans for the rear of an F-350 already on hand and need them converted into a complete steel tray design that can go straight to the fabricator here in Western Australia. The tray has to fit the scan data precisely, cope with mine-site abuse and incorporate integrated tool-storage solutions without compromising overall load capacity or service access. You’ll be working from my STL meshes, so the first step is bringing them into your preferred parametric CAD environment (SolidWorks, Inventor, Fusion 360—whichever you are fastest in) and surfacing them into an accurate reference model. From there I need you to design the tray, frame, mounts and tie-ins to the chassis, specify steel grades and plate/section thicknesses appropriate for off-road duty, and allow adequate clearance for suspension travel ect Once the 3D work is approved, generate the drawings and files our workshop crew expect: fully dimensioned fabrication drawings (PDF/DWG), flat patterns/nesting DXF for laser cut parts, and an editable STEP of the final assembly. Weld symbols, BOM and a brief material take-off should be included so there are no questions once it hits the shop floor. Acceptance is simple: • The model must align to the supplied STL scan within ±2 mm. • under tray Tool-storage compartments must open/close freely in the digital mock-up and clear truck bodywork. • All drawings must be to ISO standards and ready for immediate fabrication. If you can demonstrate similar heavy-duty vehicle or tray work, even better; I’m ready to start as soon as you are. previous 4WD tray and canopy draft work much preferred. I already have the Upper large toolboxxes I do require this to be completed quite soon...

With my extensive experience in 3D design and modeling, I am confident that I can tackle your F-350 Steel Utility Tray project with precision and efficiency. I'm familiar with a range of parametric CAD platforms including Solidworks which I can employ to translate your STL scans into accurate, robust and well-fitting designs for your tray. Given that you require the usage of high-quality steel-grade materials resilient enough to handle the challenges of off-road use, I will ensure to select appropriate plate/section thicknesses so as not to compromise load capacity or service access. Moreover, my knack for detail extends beyond just the digital mock-up. Once the 3D work is approved, I'll provide you with fully dimensioned fabrication drawings and flat patterns/nesting DXFs for laser cut parts, inclusive of weld symbols, BOMs and more needed by your workshop crew. I assure you they will be drafted per ISO standards and ready for immediate fabrication. While impressive on paper, my commitment to client satisfaction factors most in my approach to work. I intend to exceed your expectations by providing meticulous, high-quality work delivered promptly. If you're ready to convert those scans into a perfectly engineered reality, let's get started without delay.
