Tree of Life STL Refinement

Project Objective Create a detailed, printable 3D model that can be printed as a single-piece master and used to produce a bronze casting. Design Requirements * Finished bronze piece will be an hexigon approximately 18.3 inches across \(point\-to\-point\). * The design is a decorative Tree of Life with roots, trunk, branches, and leaves. * The model should be approximately 1/2 inch thick overall with the tree and leaves 3/8” deep. * The design must have sufficient relief and detail to produce an attractive bronze casting. * The model should have smooth, flowing surfaces suitable for casting. * Fine details should be strong enough to survive printing, mold making, and casting. * The file must be designed as one complete piece, not divided into sections. * The STL must be suitable for printing on a large-format 3D printer using PLA or similar material. * The model should have appropriate draft, thickness transitions, and structural integrity to improve casting success. * Sharp edges and fragile features should be avoided where practical. * Surface quality should be suitable for producing a smooth casting master with minimal post-processing. Deliverables * Final STL file. * Native editable design file Fusion 360, Rhino, Blender, SolidWorks, or similar. * High-resolution renderings showing front, side, and perspective views. * Confirmation that the model is manifold, watertight, and printable. * Recommendations for print orientation and any support requirements. Printing and Final Payment * The Designer will not be required to print the final piece, however a photo and short video of sample would be appreciated if Designer has access to a printer that can print piece full size. * Final payment will be released only after the completed STL file has been tested and successfully printed by an independent third-party 3D printing company with the capability to print large-format pieces. * The purpose of this test is to verify that the file is printable at the required scale and suitable for use as a casting master. Experience Required. Designer must be fluent in English. Please respond only if you have experience with one or more of the following: * Sculptural 3D modeling. * STL creation for large-format 3D printing. * Foundry work, sand casting, investment casting, or lost PLA casting. * Artistic relief sculptures and decorative metalwork. When Bidding Please Include 1. Examples of similar sculpture, relief, bronze, or casting-related work. 2. Whether you propose modifying my existing STL files or creating a new model from scratch. 3. Estimated completion time. 4. Total fixed-price bid. I am looking for a highly detailed, professional-quality model suitable for creating a bronze casting that will become a permanent public art installation. A quick draft render or screen-grab of the updated relief will let me sign off before we move to the final export. Deliverable • One production-ready STL file and provide a STEP file in addition to the STL. Accompany these with a 2D engineering drawing (PDF), a completed ReadMe text file detailing print parameters and, if convenient, the working ZBrush/Blender/SolidWorks file) scaled to the agreed dimensions, checked for printability, and free of artifacts. Acceptance criteria • Dimensions match the specifications I provide. • Mesh passes Netfabb or similar repair check with zero errors. • Detail level remains high enough to show clear veins, roots, and bark textures after casting.
