Hi Ada R., Last week I delivered a similar large modern home model in Revit, so I’m confident I can handle this really well. My Questions. - Which Revit version should I use, and do you prefer separate Architectural/Structural models or one coordinated file? - What level of detail and deliverables do you expect (e.g., LOD 300/350, sheets, schedules, render-ready materials)? My Suggestions. - Set a clear BIM standard early (naming, view templates, worksets) to keep the model fast, clean, and reliable. - Build key elements as parametric families so late changes auto-update across plans, sections, and schedules. My Execution Plan. - Review your 2D plans, structural notes, and modern style references. - Confirm levels, grids, LOD, and file setup. - Set up template: units, phases, worksets, view templates, materials, shared parameters. - Model site/levels, then shell: walls, slabs, roofs, curtain walls, stairs/railings to modern specs. - Add interiors: partitions, ceilings, doors/windows, millwork; create parametric families. - Model structure: foundations, beams/columns/framing; coordinate openings with arch. - Run clash checks; resolve and refine. - Produce sheets, tags, details, and schedules. - QA: purge, fix warnings, lighten model. - Deliver RVT + PDFs/DWGs; support revisions and handover notes.
