We are looking for an experienced structural engineer to carry out structural analysis and design verification for an open tensile canopy structure. Complete CAD drawings will be provided. The structure is open on all sides and designed for Indian site conditions. The scope includes studying the drawings, creating a 3D structural model in [login to view URL] for the steel supporting frame and tensile components, applying dead load and wind load as per IS 875 (Part 1 and Part 3), including wind uplift and suction cases, preparing appropriate load combinations, and performing structural analysis and design checks as per IS 800. Support reactions are required for foundation design verification. The deliverables should include the STAAD file, wind load calculation sheet, load case and load combination summary, and a concise structural analysis report in PDF format.

My background includes structural analysis and verification of steel structures for industrial and infrastructure projects, carried out using SAP2000 and similar FEM tools. I have prepared full 3D structural models, applied code-based load cases, and evaluated member forces, deflections, and support reactions for foundation checks. I have been involved in the design and analysis of steel frames exposed to environmental loads, including wind effects, uplift conditions, and serviceability checks. These studies covered open and partially enclosed steel structures, where lateral stability, bracing behavior, and load path continuity were critical. Load definitions and combinations were developed in accordance with applicable standards, and results were documented in calculation reports suitable for technical review. My previous projects include industrial steel constructions, such as process buildings, equipment support frames, lifting structures, and a 15 × 8 m two-storey steel office building, where the full structural system was modeled and analyzed in SAP2000. In these works, I evaluated dead loads, wind loads, member stresses, and support reactions, and coordinated analysis results with drawing production.
