We're prototyping a preroll joint dispenser and need an experienced 3D printing specialist to optimize an existing 3MF model for production runs of 20+ units. Background: The current model was designed by a previous freelancer. We're happy with the overall design, but it needs to be optimized for reliable batch printing. Material is ABS, printed on a Bambu Lab H2C. What we need: Review and optimize the existing model for print reliability (warping, layer adhesion, part failures) rather than print speed Adjust geometry where needed, including splitting the model into multiple parts if that improves print success rate Deliver a working Bambu Studio slicer profile with correct settings (temperatures, cooling, supports, orientation, etc.) tuned specifically for this model and ABS on the H2C Recommend design or process changes based on your printing experience Selection process: We'll send the 3MF file to interested applicants before hiring. Please review the model and include your feedback, concerns, and proposed approach in your bid. The applicant with the strongest, most concrete feedback will be awarded the job. Bids without a substantive review of the model will not be considered. Milestones (after award): Milestone 1 (Optimized model): Delivery of the optimized/modified model, ready for printing, including a working Bambu Studio slicer profile with correct settings for ABS on the H2C. Milestone 2 (Successful print): A successful print run with no or minimal failures, confirming the model and settings hold up in practice. Progress reviews and check-ins happen throughout both milestones, not just at final delivery. Revisions during the process are included within the agreed hours. Ownership: All rights to the optimized model, geometry changes, and the delivered slicer profile transfer fully to us upon final payment. The freelancer retains no usage rights to the final model. Requirements: Proven experience with ABS printing (warping mitigation, enclosure/temperature control, etc.) Experience with Bambu Studio slicer settings Ability to modify/optimize 3D models (please specify which CAD software you use) Estimated total time: 4-5 hours.
