Development of a Millifluidics Device App using COMSOL Multiphysics

The goal of this project is to develop a user-friendly app using COMSOL Multiphysics that allows the design and simulation of millifluidic devices. The app will provide various geometry templates, multiple inlets and outlets and the ability to optimize various parameters to minimize pressure drops, maximize flow rate or achieve a specific flow pattern. The simulation results will be presented in the form of plots, animations and reports which will be useful for the user to evaluate the design and determine the optimal dimensions of the device.
1.- Requirements gathering and app design
-Tasks: Identify the requirements for the app, design the user interface and the overall architecture of the app.
-Deliverables: A report on the requirements of the app, design documents for the user interface and the overall architecture of the app.
2.- Geometry templates development
-Tasks: Develop different geometry templates that can be used to create millifluidic devices.
-Deliverables: A library of geometry templates that can be used to create millifluidic devices.
3.- Physics and material definition
-Tasks: Define the physics and the materials that will be used in the simulation.
-Deliverables: A report on the physics and materials that will be used in the simulation.
4.- Optimization algorithms implementation
-Tasks: Implement optimization algorithms that will be used to optimize various parameters.
-Deliverables: A report on the optimization algorithms that will be used in the simulation.
5.- Simulation and post-processing
-Tasks: Run the simulation, post-process the results, and create plots, animations and reports.
-Deliverables: Simulation results in the form of plots, animations and reports that can be used to evaluate the design and determine the optimal dimensions of the device.
6.- User testing and app deployment
-Tasks: Create a set of experiments for user testing to evaluate the app's usability and functionality, fix any bugs or issues found, and deploy the app. [I can use a 3D primted to manufacture some millifluidics, test it and send it back to you OR you can use your own 3D printed and I will pay for the resin or filaments]
-Deliverables: A report on the user testing, any bug fixes or improvements made to the app, and the final deployed app.
7.- Final documentation
-Tasks: Prepare final documentation including user manual, technical documentation, and final project report.
-Deliverables: Final user manual, technical documentation, and project report.
