I rebuild the document on real Word structure instead: headings as heading styles, tables as tables with their cell structure intact, margins and spacing set at page-setup level, images anchored where they belong at their original resolution. The page looks the same and still behaves like a Word file when you edit it. Charts that exist only as pictures in the PDF stay pictures, and I say so honestly rather than pretending they will become editable Excel charts. If you need any of them live, that is a separate small job and I will tell you which ones are worth it. Spell-check runs after the rebuild, with names and terminology left alone unless they are clear typos, and anything doubtful comes to you as a list instead of a silent change. Before you commit: send the PDF and I rebuild the first two pages free, so you can compare them against the source and edit them yourself to see if the layout holds.
