We are seeking assistance in setting up a new file in Quickbooks Retail Edition for a small apparel company. The products are currently listed in 2 different formats in Microsoft Excel. You will setup the products as inventory items including starting inventories. Also included will be less than 10 Sales Orders and Invoices and 2-3 mos of banking activity with less than 15 items for each month.
In addition to typical Bookkeeping/Account skills - YOU SHOULD BE VERY FAMILIAR WITH CONFIGURING AND IMPORTING DATA FROM EXCEL INTO QUICKBOOKS. This includes manipulated starting inventory quantities and character limitations for Product Names. Previous bookkeeping in a retail environment required.
It is very possible that this can be an ongoing position.
I have setup the products in an Excel file and they import without any errors. At this point, I just need to setup a new QB File, re enter a hand full of Sales Orders/Invoices, Setup and reconcile a bank account for 3-4 mos of activities (less than 15 activities each month) and discuss how to implement an inventory management program to identify current inventory levels, what has been sold, and what has been used for marketing purposes.
