Excel & Tally Numeric Entry

I’m clearing a backlog of purely numeric records—think invoice totals, receipt figures, and bank-statement lines—that must be keyed quickly and accurately. You’ll receive scanned documents in batches along with a ready-made Excel template and simple guidelines for mapping each figure to its correct column. Once the master sheet is complete, the same numbers need to be pushed into Tally ERP 9 so my ledgers stay up to date. Your day-to-day will involve: • Capturing every number exactly as shown, maintaining the original decimal precision. • Using basic Excel checks (SUM, VLOOKUP, simple Pivot filters) to confirm column totals and spot obvious entry slips. • Exporting the verified dataset in a format I can import directly into Tally. • Flagging any unreadable or questionable figures so I can clarify before final submission. Deliverables 1. A clean, fully balanced Excel workbook (xlsx) that mirrors my template. 2. A Tally-ready import file (.xml or .dat) reflecting the same data. 3. A brief discrepancy log noting images that were unclear or values you weren’t 100 % sure about. Acceptance criteria • All numeric columns reconcile with my control totals. • Mandatory fields are filled; no stray text characters. • Import into Tally completes without error messages.
