AR Specialist/Bookkeeper - 3 days a week

This is a Part Time position (3 days, 24-28 hours a week). This is not a remote position, however we could be flexible one day a week.
The company is seeking a hands-on AR specialist/bookkeeper to oversee the day to day operations of the AR/AP department. With the help of a Junior Bookkeeper, the individual will be responsible for maintaining the accounting for the business via Quickbooks, including all journal entries, invoicing, generating reports, AP/AR, and helping with the month end close. This candidate must be eager to learn and grow in their position, with the ability to work as a team player and individually, and be comfortable multitasking and prioritizing the work load. The position will report to the director of operations.
Your Mission Should You Choose to Accept it:
Manage the AR lifecycle, with a key deliverable of timely invoice payments.
Assist with the month end process (bank reconciliation, factor accounting, payroll records, etc.)
Help maintain positive, professional relationships with all customers and vendors by overseeing all AP/AR email groups
Maintain company books, general ledger, and proper account classification via Quickbooks
Process and maintain payroll system
Support a Junior Bookkeeper
Oversee the AP lifecycle of our media and commerce business
Oversee the check runs/bill payments process
Maintain strict confidentiality of company books & records
Work together with the Directors to improve weekly cash forecast.
From Within Your Arsenal :
Minimum 2-3 years accounting/finance department experience.
Experience with Media Agencies/Media Publishers a plus
Proficient with QuickBooks
Meticulous attention to detail.
Strong excel skills
Good communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong work ethic with the ability to work extended hours during critical periods
Thick skin and patience when handling irate vendors.
Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision.
