I’m putting together a small set of cartoon-style characters and I want them fully built as clean, scalable vectors in Adobe Illustrator. The goal is to walk away with original character art that can be resized or recoloured without losing quality, so every stroke and shape needs to remain editable. Here’s how I picture the hand-off: • Artwork delivered as native .ai files (CS6 or later is fine) plus a high-res transparent PNG for quick previews. • Layers kept organised—separate line work, colour fills, and any highlights/shadows—so I can tweak colours or isolate parts later. • Paths closed, no stray anchor points, and all text converted to outlines to avoid font issues. I’ll supply a brief for each character (pose, personality notes, and any reference imagery) as soon as we start. If anything is unclear, feel free to flag it before drawing; I’d rather tweak a sketch than revise final vectors. A quick progress screenshot after the rough shapes are blocked in will help keep us aligned. Finished files that match the sketches and stay crisp at any size will be accepted right away.
