Artwork Design Brief I am looking for a designer to create a high-resolution artwork for printing as a large-format acoustic wall panel in a luxury residential media room. Deliverables ● Print-ready artwork ● Minimum 10,000 pixels wide ● Layered source files (PSD/AI preferred) ● High-resolution TIFF or PNG export ● Aspect ratio suitable for 1800 mm × 1000 mm landscape printing Concept The artwork should be inspired by three cities that have been important in my life: ● London ● Montreal ● Auckland The piece should subtly incorporate: ● River Thames (London) ● St Lawrence River and island geometry (Montreal) ● Waitematā Harbour (Auckland) These references should be abstract and blended together into a single composition. Style The artwork should feel: ● Sophisticated ● Architectural ● Luxurious ● Timeless ● Suitable for a high-end home The artwork should NOT feel like: ● A literal map ● A travel poster ● A city skyline ● Tourist artwork ● Graphic design or infographics At first glance it should appear to be a beautiful abstract artwork. Only on closer inspection should viewers recognise hints of geography. Colour Palette Primary colours: ● Charcoal ● Graphite ● Deep warm grey Accent colours: ● Aged bronze ● Burnished gold The overall look should be dark and moody but still retain enough mid-tone detail to reproduce well when printed on acoustic fabric. Composition The artwork should read as one continuous piece rather than three separate cities. Target balance: ● 70% abstract artwork ● 30% cartographic inspiration The cities should be connected through flowing waterways, contour lines, textures and geographic forms. Room Context The artwork will be installed in a luxury media room featuring: ● Dark charcoal walls ● Black OLED television ● Black speakers ● Warm 2700K lighting ● Acoustic wall treatments The artwork should complement this environment. Desired Reaction When someone enters the room, I want them to think: “That’s a beautiful piece of artwork.” Only later should they realise that it is inspired by London, Montreal and Auckland. Reference Images I will provide a concept image that represents the mood, colour palette and overall direction of the final artwork.
