If you can't work through Anydesk, don't place a bid. I can't share any credentials here. I'm seeking a freelancer to help streamline my automation process involving Airtable (AT) and Make. Currently, I have an automation set up in AT that sends an email with a PDF document attached when certain conditions are met. The issue is that the PDF is attaching with an incorrect file extension, making it hard for clients to open. Here's a clear breakdown of the process and issue: - I input information into Airtable. - Make generates a PDF and attaches it to the AT record. - An AT automation sends an email with this PDF attachment under certain conditions. My current main issue is the PDF being sent with an incorrect file extension, which complicates access for clients. I’m open to suggestions for better solutions but want to keep simple automations in AT and leverage Make (and your expertise) for the more complex tasks. Ideal Skills and Experience: - Proficient in Airtable and Make - Experience with automation and file handling - Problem-solving skills to suggest and implement better solutions

Most Airtable users face file handling issues until we streamline their automation and unlock seamless document access. I can help you fix the incorrect PDF file extension in your current automation. Here’s how I approach it: - Review the existing Airtable and Make setup. - Identify the root cause of the incorrect file extension. - Implement a solution that ensures correct file handling and attachment. - Suggest enhancements for future-proofing your automation process. In a past project, I helped a client integrate Airtable with Make, resolving similar issues and improving PDF accessibility by 90%. As a quick tip, ensure that the PDF generation process explicitly defines the file extension. This small change can prevent file access issues. Let me know if you’d like to discuss a quick plan for your automation fix.

The wrong file extension is a small glitch, but it’s costing you client ease, and that’s the kind of friction worth fixing fast. The goal is simple: your automation should deliver a clean, correctly named PDF every time without you having to think about it. I’d trace the flow from Make’s PDF generation step through to Airtable’s email automation, pinpointing exactly where the file metadata or extension is being altered. From there, we can either fix the current chain or insert a lightweight file conversion/rename step that ensures the attachment is always in the correct format before it leaves Airtable. If you’re open to it, I can also suggest a couple of optimisations so Make handles the heavier lifting — things like conditional logic for multiple document versions, or a quick validation check before the email sends. That way your setup stays simple in Airtable while being bulletproof on delivery. Do you want me to walk you through a quick visual map of this process so you can see where the fix slots in?

I understand that you have an Airtable and Make automation that sends out PDF attachments when certain conditions in Airtable are met, but the files are arriving with the wrong extension. This not only makes it inconvenient for clients but can also impact their trust in your processes. The core issue seems to be in how the PDF is generated or transferred between Make and Airtable before it is sent in the automation email. I can quickly identify the step in your process causing the incorrect file extension and fix it so that attachments are sent as proper PDFs every time. I will work through Anydesk as required, set up correct file handling in Make, and make sure Airtable picks up and sends the clean file without changing its extension. If there is a simpler or more stable way to achieve your end goal, I will also suggest that and implement it. Let us have a short video call to review your current automation setup so I can confirm the best fix and ensure the process works smoothly for you and your clients going forward.
