Functional Adjustments in Existing Android Application: Photo Capture and NFC Reading

I will provide the full Android Studio project and the current APK that our team uses internally. Your task is to dive into the existing codebase and apply very targeted functional changes in two places: • Photo Capture module – refine the way the app handles image capture so it behaves exactly as specified during our hand-off meeting (changes relate only to the capture logic; no UI redesign is needed unless a minor tweak supports the new behaviour). • NFC Reading module – adjust the read/process flow so our proprietary tags are detected and parsed consistently across devices. The code must remain stable, compile against the current stable SDK, and install cleanly on Android 8 through 14. Once the changes are in place, I need: 1. Updated source code with clear comments highlighting every modification. 2. A debug-signed APK so the operations team can run regression tests. 3. A short change log outlining the classes touched and the rationale behind each change. Experience working directly with Camera2, Jetpack libraries, and the Android NFC API will help you move quickly; familiarity with Kotlin is a bonus (the project is mixed Java/Kotlin).
