We need a freelancer to help us develop two things: 1/ App: A tablet & mobile phone app that an engineer can use in a building to do a building survey of building assets (mainly equipment in the building). The engineer will need to input data such as location and details about the equipment/asset and also add images, maybe short video clip and group them for the building/site. The app must work in offline mode, then once connected to wifi upload the data to an online storage via submission. the engineer needs to be able to reload past reports also to add/edit data. 2/ Online storage: Takes the data that has been uploaded from the app and allows admin to view and add/edit the details & run reports, as well as download a PDF version of the data report. Also gives client access to view certain reports online. We have a full brief including flow chart for understanding and we will supply the full brief to those that we select to quote properly. This is an ongoing project which will involve lots of ongoing work, but initially we would like you to supply us with examples of similar work that you have done and a rough idea of development costs - as well as an overview of how you would develop this app and what services you would use. I have read your brief properly... Dear Sir, I have over 10 years of experience in developing survey related solutions for my clients. The solutions ranged from Windows mobile based devices ( as early as 2005 -2010) to Android based apps (Since 2012 on wards). The applications have been used in census surveys, field surveys etc. I has also done a project related to asset mapping and reporting for the oil industry around 6 years back. So i am pretty confident and eager to take up the project. Regarding Your Queries, let me explain 1. We will use ANdroid based app with .net based web site and MS Sql server as the database. 2. The Android based app will have features for Saved a form as a draft and resume it later for completion 3. The app shall have option to upload the data to the server at the time of completion as well as uploading later when the network becomes available. 4. Reports on the app showing number of forms uploaded etc 5. Images can be captured withing the app and also uploaded to the server. 6. As far as the videos are concerned, we can either upload them to the server, if the bandwidth and web storage is available , or alternatively link a dropbox/ google drive account and upload the videos to the folders.
