We have developed an in-house online ERP system using Angular 20.3.19 for the front end, ASP.NET Web API 2 with .NET Framework 4.7.2 for the application/API layer, and SQL Server as the database platform. The ERP consists of multiple Angular modules, pages, forms, List of Values (LOVs), submission workflows, and backend services. We are looking to develop a centralized, dynamic error-handling and incident-management framework that can be integrated across the entire ERP application. Objective The objective is to create a reusable ERP Error Management Library that automatically captures and manages errors occurring at any application layer, including: • Angular/front-end errors • Form and validation errors • Button/submit-action errors • LOV and lookup errors • HTTP/API errors • ASP.NET Web API/.NET exceptions • Business-logic exceptions • SQL/database errors • Stored procedure errors • Connection and timeout errors • Unexpected or unhandled system exceptions Dynamic Error Registration Whenever an error occurs, the framework should automatically: 1. Capture the error without requiring developers to implement separate error-handling logic on every page. 2. Identify the application layer where the error occurred. 3. Collect relevant diagnostic information, such as: o Error/exception type o Error message o Stack trace o Angular component/page o API/controller/method o SQL procedure/query information where appropriate o User information o Date and time o Browser/client information o Request/transaction/correlation ID o ERP module and screen o Error severity o Environment 4. Store the complete error information in a centralized Error Schema/Database structure. 5. Generate a unique error/incident reference number. 6. does not repeat/record same error in database table. Please find all remaining details in the attached file. Kindly review the document thoroughly before accepting or submitting the bid.

Hi, there. "ENTERPRISE APPLICATION ERROR TRACKING" — you need a centralized error management framework for your ERP system that automatically captures, categorizes, and tracks errors across Angular, ASP.NET Web API, business logic, and SQL Server layers. I’ll design and implement a reusable error-handling and incident-management architecture that integrates with your existing Angular 20 and ASP.NET Web API 2 application without requiring developers to add repetitive error handling throughout the ERP modules. The focus will be creating consistent error capture, diagnostics, storage, and incident tracking across the complete application stack. I’ll implement dynamic error interception for frontend exceptions, HTTP/API failures, backend exceptions, database errors, stored procedures, and transaction issues. The framework will include centralized logging, correlation IDs, duplicate error detection, severity classification, user/environment tracking, structured database storage, and clear integration points for future ERP modules. Do you already have an existing logging infrastructure or monitoring system that the error framework needs to integrate with, or should this be designed as a standalone ERP component? Looking forward to working with you.

Hey there, Could you confirm whether the Error Management Framework should have its own SQL Server database/schema, separate from the existing ERP tables? This will help define the cleanest non-invasive architecture. I understand you need a reusable Error-to-Ticket framework, not page-by-page error handling. It should capture errors across Angular, Web API/.NET, business logic and SQL Server, correlate them, avoid duplicate records, generate error/ticket references, notify users safely, and provide a complete support workflow and audit history. I’d approach this as a central reusable library/package with global Angular interception, HTTP/API handling, centralized .NET exception handling, database error capture, correlation IDs, centralized persistence and a configurable ticket workflow. The framework would be designed to work with the existing Angular/.NET Framework ERP while also allowing future .NET 8 applications to consume the same framework. -/ Should the framework store its errors, tickets and audit data in a dedicated SQL Server database/schema, or must it share the existing ERP database? -/ For duplicate errors, should identical errors be grouped under one recurring error, or should every occurrence remain as a separate record linked to a common error signature? Budget and timeline can be discussed after reviewing the complete scope. Let’s connect through chat or a call to walk through everything and take it from there. Best regards, Tafsol (HJ)

Hi, I’d approach this as a centralized error-management layer rather than adding try/catch logic throughout individual Angular modules and API endpoints. The framework should capture errors at the appropriate Angular, HTTP, Web API, business, and database boundaries, enrich them with module/screen, user, environment, correlation ID, request details, and severity, then persist them through a consistent error schema. A key part would be deduplication so repeated occurrences of the same underlying error don’t create unnecessary incident records, while still preserving useful occurrence information. I’d also structure unique incident references, centralized logging, exception mapping, and configurable handling so the library can be integrated across the existing ERP without tightly coupling individual screens to the implementation. The attached detailed specification isn’t available in this conversation, so I’d review it before finalizing the implementation scope. Best, Ivane

REVIWED given attachemnts--------------I will surely achive your given goals ------------>>The real challenge is not capturing errors. It is creating one reusable error framework that can trace an incident from Angular through Web API, business logic and SQL without forcing developers to add custom handling on every screen. I will build a centralized library for Angular 20, ASP.NET Web API/.NET Framework 4.7.2 and SQL Server, with correlation IDs, layer-aware diagnostics, severity, user/module context, centralized storage and duplicate-error detection. The design will remain reusable across the existing ERP modules and workflows. One important question: should duplicate detection be based on a configurable error fingerprint such as exception type + module + endpoint + normalized message, or do you already have a specific matching rule defined? Please ping me to get started and get outstanding results. Thanks!!!

Hi, You're looking for a centralized error-handling framework that works across the ERP's Angular frontend and ASP.NET Web API backend, with a single incident store and auto-generated reference numbers. I’ve worked on enterprise apps where we reduce repetitive error paths and rely on a shared surface to speed triage and recovery. This aligns with the need to capture cross-layer context without slowing user flows. Execution approach: I’d start by adding a global Angular error interceptor and a Web API exception filter, then wire them to a central store, and validate with synthetic and real traffic. One technical risk / key challenge: Performance and privacy, capturing stack traces and user data must be controlled. What should the incident reference be surfaced to ops, dashboard, SIEM feed, or both? What are the expectations for automating incident remediation tasks versus handoffs? If we're aligned, I can outline the implementation phases before kickoff. Best regards, Brandon

★★★ ASP.NET Web API SPECIALIST ★★★ Hi, To effectively implement the centralized error-handling framework, I recommend leveraging middleware in ASP.NET to capture exceptions globally. This approach will ensure that all errors, regardless of their origin, are logged without requiring repetitive code across the application. I will create an Error Management Library that utilizes custom exception filters in Angular to handle front-end errors and a global exception handler in ASP.NET for backend errors. The library will capture detailed diagnostic information, including stack traces and user context, and store this data in a structured SQL Server database. I will ensure that the error registration process generates unique incident reference numbers and avoids duplicate entries. To get started, I will need access to the existing ERP codebase and database schema, as well as any specific logging preferences you may have. Thanks!

Hello, I'm Denis, a full-stack developer who has built error tracking and logging systems for enterprise applications. I understand your ERP system needs a centralized error-handling framework that captures errors across all layers without requiring scattered try-catch blocks everywhere. I've worked on similar systems integrating Angular frontends, ASP.NET APIs, and databases. The key is building something invisible to developers while handling edge cases like timeouts, validation failures, and stored procedure exceptions. My approach: 1. **Analyze** your current error patterns and logging infrastructure 2. **Design** an Angular service and ASP.NET middleware that automatically intercept errors 3. **Normalize** errors from different sources, collect diagnostic context (correlation IDs, user info), and route to a centralized repository 4. **Deduplicate** using error fingerprinting based on message, source layer, and user context to prevent alert fatigue The main technical challenge is creating fingerprints that are neither too strict nor too lenient. We'd balance this carefully to capture genuinely different issues while avoiding duplicates. A realistic consideration: integrating across your existing system requires careful deployment to avoid breaking current error handling. I'd implement incrementally, starting with critical modules and expanding gradually. I'm ready to start immediately. Let's discuss the details. Thanks, Denis.

One error library for both Web API 2 on 4.7.2 and your .NET 8 modules is the hard part. I'd put the core (normalizing, credential redaction, fingerprinting, SQL writes) in a .NET Standard 2.0 package that both runtimes load, with thin adapters: an IExceptionHandler for Web API 2, middleware for .NET 8. In Angular, one provider function registers a global ErrorHandler and an interceptor that stamps a correlation ID on every request, so a module adds one line in its app config and nothing else. SqlException already carries the procedure name, so stored procedures get tagged without editing them. Repeats match on a fingerprint and bump a count, and a ticket exists only after the user clicks Submit. The framework's tables sit in their own schema, deployed by versioned scripts, so ERP objects stay untouched. If a log write fails, it falls back to a local file and the user never notices. I built C#/.NET and SQL Server tooling for robot operations at Comau, an industrial-robotics manufacturer. First milestone: the Angular provider and Web API 2 handler wired into one existing module, writing correlated records end to end, in about 2 weeks, released only once you see rows landing.

Hi, I can develop a centralized error tracking and incident management framework for your Angular and ASP.NET ERP. - I’ll design it as a reusable library that automatically captures errors across Angular, forms, HTTP/API calls, Web API, business logic, SQL Server, stored procedures, timeouts, and unexpected exceptions without requiring repetitive handling on every page. - The framework will capture useful context such as module, screen, component, controller, user, environment, stack trace, timestamp, browser information, correlation ID, severity, and database details where applicable. - I’ll create a centralized error schema with unique incident references and duplicate detection so the same error is not repeatedly stored. - On the Angular side, I’ll integrate global error handling, HTTP interception, validation and submission errors. - On the .NET side, I’ll implement centralized exception handling and correlation across API, business, and database layers. I’ll also provide clear SQL Server structures, configuration, logging, and documentation so the framework can be integrated across existing and future ERP modules. My approach will prioritize minimal changes to the existing ERP while keeping the solution scalable and maintainable. I’m ready to review the detailed specification and existing architecture and start with the framework design and integration points.

I can develop a reusable, centralized error-management framework for your Angular 20.3.19 ERP, spanning AngularJS-compatible patterns where required, ASP.NET Web API 2 on .NET Framework 4.7.2, and Microsoft SQL Server. The implementation will capture front-end, validation, LOV, submission, HTTP/API, business-logic, exception, stored-procedure, timeout, and database failures without repetitive page-level handling. I will establish consistent interception across Angular and API layers, correlation IDs, module and screen context, user and browser metadata, severity, environment, stack traces, controller/method details, and safe SQL/procedure diagnostics. Using SQL and Database Management practices, I will design the centralized error schema, deduplication strategy, unique incident references, indexing, retention considerations, and secure handling of sensitive information. API Development will support reliable propagation of diagnostic context between the browser, ASP.NET services, and SQL Server. The framework can also provide dynamic registration, searchable incident records, and a foundation for ticketing and operational reporting. I will align the library with the attached specification, integrate it across the ERP layers, and structure it for straightforward adoption by future modules. The result will be consistent, traceable error handling rather than isolated fixes scattered throughout the application.

I’ve built similar error-tracking systems for Angular/ASP.NET ERP stacks before, so this is right in my wheelhouse. I’ll set up a centralized logging service with Angular interceptors for frontend errors, ASP.NET middleware for backend exceptions, and SQL triggers to capture database errors. All errors will be normalized into a shared schema with deduplication logic to avoid duplicates. The system will auto-generate incident IDs and include all requested metadata (user, environment, stack traces, etc.). I’ll deploy it as a NuGet package for the API layer and an Angular module for the frontend, with SQL Server tables for storage. I can start immediately. Thanks, Andrii.
