I want to get the following Outlook 2007 macro developed to help with scheduling meetings. The problem I am trying to solve is that it takes a lot of time entering different conference rooms as resources and see which one is open at the certain time.
These are actions which the user will take:
1. Select Date and time for meeting
2. Enter Attendee names (or leave blank if just trying to book a conf room)
3. Enter few letters of any part of the conference room name (Allow wildcard symbol such as Conf%6%Austin% or leave blank). This is the Resources field.
Then, if no attendees were entered -
List all matching resources that are open at the requested date & time
User can do a “Quick Book” and select one of the conference rooms to book immediately. Program will send meeting maker to the conf room resource.
User can select “Create a Meeting Maker” and a new meeting request will open with the select conf room and attendees already entered as a resource
If Attendee's and Conf rooms are selected
Show up to 3 earliest timeslots in which all the attendees and at least one of the conference rooms is open
User can select “Create a Meeting Maker” and a new meeting request will open with the selected conf room entered as a resource and attendees listed as required.
