To avoid the BIGGEST challenge is double booking. a) Maintain a single “source of truth” inventory DB (not separate stock per channel). b) When a booking is initiated, lock the slot/allotment immediately (temporary hold) before confirming. c) Use atomic transactions (or row-level locking) so two bookings cannot consume the same slot.
