I have a partially-written Python script that needs to talk to an external API so I can both increase and decrease the bandwidth of existing circuits on demand. The core logic—authentication, endpoint calls, parameter handling, and response parsing— I am a Network Engineer with very little experience with Python Programming - I am working in a Sandbox for this and will eventually put it in production. The MAIN requirement is that I am looking for a tutor who will explain and work with me through shared sessions in real-time to collaborate on this project effectively. Here is what I need from you: • Review the code I already have, identify any bugs or gaps, and refactor it for clarity and reliability. • Implement the missing calls that raise or lower the bandwidth, with proper error handling and logging. • Expose the key operations through simple functions such as increase_bandwidth(circuit_id, new_rate) and decrease_bandwidth(circuit_id, new_rate). • Provide concise setup notes so I can recreate your environment and extend the script on my side. Acceptance criteria: the script executes without unhandled exceptions, reports success/failure clearly, and I can run a test that changes a circuit from X to Y Mbps and back again in the sandbox.

Hi, I am Adeel. I built Boostifai, which integrates with multiple third-party APIs and CMS platforms, handling auth, retries and error logging in Python. That is the same shape of work as wrapping your bandwidth API calls cleanly. I would start by reviewing your existing script, fixing the auth and parsing gaps, then wrapping increase_bandwidth and decrease_bandwidth as small testable functions with proper logging around each call. I can mock the sandbox responses if live access is not ready, then swap in real calls once it is. I can start today. Do you already have sandbox credentials ready, or do I need to request access myself?

Hello, A better approach is to make the bandwidth API layer reusable rather than patching the existing script call-by-call. I’ll refactor your Python 3.11 code into a clean module with centralized auth, configurable endpoints, request/response validation, timeouts, retries, structured logging, and clear exception handling. I’ll implement increase_bandwidth() and decrease_bandwidth() with sandbox/mock coverage for changing a circuit from X to Y Mbps and back. I’ll also add a lightweight CLI demo and setup notes, keeping requests as the default for simplicity and reliability. Could you please share the current script and API documentation (or sandbox details) after we start? Best, Niral

Hello, We can review and refactor your existing Python API integration into a clean, reusable module for reliable circuit bandwidth management. Our approach: * Review the existing Python 3.11 code, authentication flow, endpoints, parameters, and response handling. * Identify bugs, missing logic, edge cases, and areas affecting reliability. * Implement the increase/decrease bandwidth operations using the API’s required endpoints. * Expose clean reusable functions such as `increase_bandwidth()` and `decrease_bandwidth()`. * Add structured validation, timeouts, API error handling, retries where appropriate, and useful logging. * Keep credentials and configuration outside the source code using environment-based configuration. * Build a small CLI or Jupyter demonstration using the sandbox API or mocked responses. * Test successful changes, invalid inputs, API failures, and bandwidth update scenarios. * Keep the module compatible with Python 3.11 and use `requests` unless async provides a clear benefit. * Provide concise setup and usage documentation so you can integrate the module into other tools easily. We can review your current script and API documentation first, then finalize the implementation approach. Regards, Chanchal CnEL India

Hi, Wrapping a messy script into a clean, reusable module with proper error handling is close to work I do often. I recently did a backend API integration where auth, endpoint calls, and response parsing all had to be reliable under real failure conditions. Backend API Integration: past contract, $9773 earned, client said the work fit their team well. One question before I touch the code: does the bandwidth API return a job/task id that completes async, or does the change apply synchronously in the response? That decides whether requests is enough or httpx with polling makes the increase/decrease functions safer. I'd start by adding logging and clear success/failure reporting, then mock the sandbox calls so the X to Y and back test runs cleanly. Can you share the current script and API docs? Adil

I can turn your partially written Python 3.11 script into a reliable, reusable bandwidth-management module. I’ll review the existing authentication, endpoint construction, parameter handling, and response parsing, then refactor the implementation around clear functions such as `increase_bandwidth(circuit_id, new_rate)` and `decrease_bandwidth(circuit_id, new_rate)`. The API integration will include practical timeout handling, validation, structured logging, actionable error messages, and safe handling of unsuccessful responses. I’ll preserve the standard `requests` approach unless the API’s behavior makes `httpx` or asynchronous execution genuinely beneficial. I’ll also provide a concise CLI or notebook demonstration using the sandbox, or mocked responses where live access is unavailable, showing a circuit moving from X to Y Mbps and back again. Setup notes will document dependencies, credentials configuration, environment variables, and how to extend the module later. I’ll keep the result easy to drop into other tools and verify that success and failure states are always reported clearly. Which API documentation or sample requests can you provide for authentication, circuit updates, rate units, and sandbox validation? The goal is a dependable integration you can confidently reuse, test, and expand.

Hi, I’m a Senior Software Engineer with 20+ years of experience, focused on Python backend and API integrations. I have gone through your specific requirement for circuit bandwidth control. I would keep requests rather than switch to httpx and asyncio, since this small module needs clear request handling more than async complexity. I will review your existing Python 3.11 script and refactor its authentication, parameter handling and response parsing. Then I will add the increase and decrease functions with logging and useful failure messages, plus a CLI demo using your sandbox or mocked responses. I can also include a test that changes a circuit from X to Y Mbps and back. At least that is where I would start. I can send relevant project details and code samples. Can you share the current script and API documentation, including the bandwidth endpoint details? Does the sandbox support real circuit changes, and are there rate limits or approval steps? What response codes or error formats have you seen so far? Free for a quick call this week? Or send the script here and I will map out the refactor. Dev Singh

Hi, I'm Denis, a full-stack developer with experience building API integrations and automation tools. I've worked on similar bandwidth management systems where reliability and error handling are critical. I understand your needs: you have a partially-written script that needs to reliably connect to Circuit's API to adjust bandwidth on demand. You want it clean, reusable, and testable before integrating it into other tools. My approach: 1. **Review existing code** – identify authentication issues, incomplete error handling, and parameter validation gaps 2. **Implement bandwidth calls** – add increase/decrease functions with proper logging and exception handling 3. **Build a module** – create a simple, self-contained module you can import anywhere 4. **Test thoroughly** – use the sandbox environment to run a full cycle: fetch bandwidth, increase it, verify the change, decrease it back. If sandbox access isn't available, I'll mock responses realistically Key technical focus: proper authentication token handling, graceful retries for temporary failures, and structured logging so you can see exactly what's happening when issues occur. I'll also account for rate limits and specific header formatting requirements upfront, designing the module to be resilient without overcomplicating things. I'm ready to start immediately. Let's discuss the details. Thanks, Denis.

Hi, I can refactor the existing Python API client into a clean, reusable module, fixing authentication, request/response handling, parameter validation, and error handling. I’ll implement the bandwidth increase/decrease operations with logging, expose simple functions such as `increase_bandwidth()` and `decrease_bandwidth()`, and provide a CLI/Jupyter demo plus setup notes. I’ll validate the complete X→Y→X workflow against the sandbox or mocked API responses. 1. Can you provide the existing Python script and the API documentation/sandbox credentials? 2. Does the API use REST/JSON, and how are bandwidth changes authenticated and submitted? 3. Are there specific rate limits, asynchronous job responses, or circuit-state checks we need to handle? Regards, Houssame

I’ll review your existing script, map the API contract, auth flow, and parameter handling, then refactor the core into a reusable module with increase_bandwidth(circuit_id, new_rate) and decrease_bandwidth(circuit_id, new_rate). I’ll fix endpoint calls, response parsing, timeouts, retries, logging, and clear success/failure reporting so nothing fails silently or unhandled. A thin CLI or Jupyter example will demonstrate X→Y→X against sandbox or mocked responses. I’ll keep it Python 3.11 and requests unless httpx/asyncio clearly improves reliability. Setup notes will make the environment easy to recreate and extend.
