I'd start by setting up your central title block and layer standards in AutoCAD, then build out the common drawing sheets you use for a typical ADU or addition project, so you have a solid base for all new work. The one thing left underspecified is the exact detail level required for your permit sets; I will assume standard California DSA submission requirements for residential projects until you tell me otherwise. What is your preferred method for handling structural engineer coordination and drawing integration into your plan sets? If you hand this over today, I would have your core AutoCAD template, including title block and layer standards, built out by the end of the first day, and start populating it with sample sheets for your most common project types on day two.
