Hi — Elias here from Miami. I understand you're looking to develop a Home Energy Management System based on SPiNE One. The goal is clear: to create a reliable, efficient system for managing energy consumption. The real challenge often lies in scalability and maintainability. What usually matters most here is how well the system can handle increasing loads while remaining easy to manage. A common issue in projects like this is integrating various components smoothly, especially with real-time data and user permissions. My approach would involve structuring the system with a focus on modular design, ensuring each component can be updated independently. Using Docker for containerization will enhance deployment consistency, while PostgreSQL can effectively manage your data needs. I’ve worked on similar systems where reliability was crucial, navigating issues of state management and user access control, which will be essential for your project. A few questions to better understand the scope: Q1 – What specific user roles do you envision, and how will they interact with the system? Q2 – Are there existing integrations or third-party services you plan to include? Q3 – What are your scaling expectations in terms of user load and data volume? Happy to discuss the details and suggest the best technical approach. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi there, I can develop the HEMS solution around SPiNE One with evcc as the local energy optimization core, covering the SPiNE app, device adapters, Modbus/SunSpec, EEBUS, SG Ready, REST APIs, 14a control, LAN device discovery, PV surplus and local load management. For Phase 2, I can build the Docker-based Node.js/Go cloud backend with PostgreSQL, secure SPiNE Cloud communication, multi-site/tenant management, billing, multi-heat-pump and multi-wallbox management, remote configuration and dashboards. I’ll follow the 3 + 12 + 4 week milestone structure and provide testing, documentation and rollout support. Could you share the SPiNE One SDK/API documentation and evcc integration requirements so I can confirm the architecture and Phase 1 scope? Kindly send me a message to discuss more or directly award me. Thank you!

Hi! We can handle this end to end — and honestly, the local-first plus cloud extension pattern is one of the more interesting architectural problems that comes through here. Before I can put a firm number on Phase 1, I need to know which specific devices or protocols need custom adapters beyond what evcc supports natively. If EEBUS or proprietary Modbus profiles are in scope for the MVP, that's a materially different effort than wiring up hardware evcc already handles through its plugin interface — and that single answer is what locks in the Phase 1 estimate. On how we'd build it: the local layer runs as a SPiNE One app wrapping evcc, with custom adapters sitting between evcc's plugin interface and anything not natively supported. LAN discovery and the 14a control box integration sit on top of that core. For the cloud backend, Node.js with PostgreSQL and Docker is the right fit — the billing modules and multi-tenancy need a clean relational schema from day one, not bolted on later. The local-to-cloud channel would run over a secured WebSocket or MQTT bridge with tenant data isolated at the schema level. The web UI we'd treat as two distinct surfaces: installer setup and end-customer dashboards serve different users and shouldn't share the same screen with fields toggled by role. Perfect Match "FIVEM DEVELOPMENT SETUP" — you need a clean, working FiveM environment ready for development. I can configure the FiveM server, required resources, dependencies, and scripts so everything works together without conflicts. I’ll also test the setup in-game and fix configuration or resource issues before handoff. What FiveM framework and existing resources should be included? Looking forward to work with you.

First thing I'd do is spin up evcc locally on a SPiNE One-like Docker setup and get one real device talking over Modbus/SunSpec, so we see PV surplus data flowing before anything else. From there I'd build the LAN auto-discovery and the local control logic (PV surplus + load management), then the setup Web UI, keeping the 14a Steuerbox hookup in mind early since that shapes the control loop. Backend I'd do in Node.js + PostgreSQL, containerized, with clean REST APIs so the Phase 2 cloud modules (Mieterstrom billing, multi-heatpump/wallbox) drop in without rewrites. I've built Node marketplaces with multi-tenant data and REST integrations, so the Mandantenfaehigkeit part is familiar ground. Which adapter matters most for the MVP - do you already have a specific inverter/wallbox in mind to target first? - Prateek
