Source Code is a new and emerging IT Consultancy and Enterprise Software Development Company located in Kingston Jamaica. The company has a staff compliment of 25 permanent workers and 25 contract workers throughout the Caribbean. Source Code is known for its best seller “Payroll Plus”, an enterprise accounting and payroll software package. Payroll Plus comes in 2 flavors: 1. Software application (only): The software will be installed on the customers existing infrastructure (server), however server must be based on the latest industry standards, as the application is resources intensive. 2. Software and Hardware Combo: The software application is delivered on a Server built provided and configured by Source Code. In a recent management meeting, the results from a survey were presented and the results indicated that Source Code’s current and potential clients want a newer/modern solution for Payroll Plus as current offerings were becoming too expensive and deemed unfeasible in some cases (especially for small companies). The management team has been informed that they could extend their product offerings via Cloud Services. A new Sales Department has been formed and you have just been promoted to the from Lead Application Developer from the Business Information Services Department to ECommerce Manager in the newly formed Sales Department and as such have a deadline of December 7th 2012 to produce a document outlining the following: 1. Define the type of e-Commerce model and proposed payment method(s) you will be employing. 2. Prepare a case to convince the Management that Cloud computing is the way to go. You must state what cloud computing model(s) you are proposing (SAAS, IAAS, PAAS) and also address the concerns the management and staff may have. 3. Develop a Risk Assessment Plan (i.e. identify the threats and the strategies you will employ to manage the risks) 4. Create a Business Continuity Plan outlining the business Recovery strategy in the event of an Island wide disaster. As a guide, please identify critical processes and key personnel selected from an organizational chart you will draft. There is no minimum number of words but do not to exceed 3500 words. N.B. Answers must be composed using essay format.
