I'm looking for someone who can write a easy to read help manual for a mobile app I'm developing. I've already got a bit of content. I need it edited / enhanced / rewritten and completed to cover all of the features in the app.
I'd like to discuss with you on what sort of a structure is best: (eg. step-by-step walkthroughs, scenario specific how-tos, screen by screen descriptions, etc) - perhaps a combination of all these styles and more?
I'm happy to flesh this out and work out an approach that will work for an international audience: this is a Windows 8 tablet app that is available worldwide through the Windows store (and there will be a Windows Phone 8 app soon and eventually - an iOS and Android version too).
Ideally, I'd like you to start by downloading the app (it is free) from the link above on a Windows 8 tablet and having a look through the screens using the demo mode. I've uploaded the content and screenshots to let you assess how much content is draft-written.
As we develop this further, I'm happy to create further screenshots...and other material as needed.
We'll also need to discuss the format of the output - ideally I need to be able to easily put it into a Wordpress site - so that this online content can be shown in my app.
Forgot to post the link to the app:
The app is called 'All About Money'
Also - I will help you and describe how the app works - so you can come up with the content. Put yourself in the shoes of a user - and you should see that there are a few types of scenarios when you may want to use help:
1. First time user trying to figure out one or more the features of the app
2. Find how to do something specific with the app
3. Explore ideas on how to organise finances via the app
4. As a reference guide
5. ? anything else you can think of?
