The Bright team has a strong background in Artificial Intelligence and Data Sciences. The team was founded by Avi Patchava (former McKinsey, InMobi), Petko Platchkov (former McKinsey, CommuterClub founder), Varun Modi (former InMobi) and Alexander Seyfert (former Amazon, Yahoo). Bright has raised funding of +$30m from 28 angel investors including investors from Google and Citibank, and 4 Venture Capitalist funds: Sequoia, Falcon Edge, Hummingbird, and Oakhouse partners.
The Bright marketing team will develop the production proposition, the positioning, the narrative surrounding Bright, and the brand assets that compliment the product positioning, including community, content and customer stories. As the Head of Community and Stories, you will be responsible for building content and attracting readers, and ultimately users to the Bright Content Platform - including strategy, proposition themes, and content development (across media), and editorial of this platform. You will also lead the outreach process to editorial content outlets (content websites, podcasts, newsletters) to develop external content telling the Bright story.
You will report to the Founders (or VP-Marketing) directly, based in San Francisco. It has the potential to grow into a VP-level role in the Marketing team within 2 years, with growth of the company and success of this initiative.
Own strategy, proposition development and design of the Bright Content Platform working with the product and tech teams within Bright for delivery and set-up
Run the Content strategy - week to week: setting themes, topics, target writers and development of drafts. Objective to increase eyeballs and attract user conversions to the Bright system.
Lead editorial of all content that is produced
Lead the outreach process to editorial content sites (content websites, podcasts, newsletters) to develop external content telling the Bright story.
Bachelors’ Degree in Journalism, English, Communications or similar fields
4+ years of relevant experience in content writing for a US audience
Ideally, experience writing finance/money related content for users aged 25-40 years (Gen-Y) in the U.S.A
