Given below is a sample of my rewrite.
ORIGINAL: The second reason for continued growth of marketing research is the implicit imperative for global operations as the end of the Cold War has brought a new international system of globalization. As citizens of the world are increasingly aware of consumption opportunities elsewhere, the demand for political, judicial, and delivery systems has increased in a corresponding manner. Although it has a lingering presence on the world scene, nationalistic protectionism has lost much of its pallor. With more open markets, international competitors have moved into more markets of the world.
WHAT I REWROTE: Another factor, which has aided the giant strides that market research has made, is the globalization of business. As curtains fell on the cold war era, the new international system that arose in its wake made market research de rigueur for global trading. As people sensed the existence of varied prospects and goods in overseas markets, this awareness called for a proportionate increase in the ways in which these facilities could be conveyed or carried to them. The advocates who support the protection of domestic market do exist in certain countries. But they are easily outnumbered by the rest. With more countries opening up boundaries, companies are positioning themselves in all possible markets.
