We are looking for a dynamic IT Manager to join our IT team. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated self-starter with a strong, current technical skills, who is not only excited to manage and grow our IT team but also eager to apply their IT skills to move projects forward. This position will start off part-time, estimated 10-15 hours per week. For the right person, there is a lot of growth potential, both in terms of responsibilities and time commitment.
The IT leader will manage and support a wide range of technologies, staff and projects. Someone who can identify and understand our key business drivers, define budget and strategy, and keep IT projects on task and within budget is crucial. Our industry is ever-changing, and the ideal candidate has an interest in automation, machine learning/deep learning and a finger on the latest technology trends.
We are also expanding our IT team, and the IT Manager will be involved in hiring, onboarding, and development of new team members.
Understand business processes and recommend technology solutions to drive further optimization through technology and reduce spend.
Identify and drive new opportunities with technology to benefit the user experience (internal and external users).
Define strategic and tactical roadmap of IT initiatives and oversee said initiatives (related to automation, data migration, CRM, custom apps, machine learning, deep learning).
Ensure the IT department clearly understands their role in contributing to the success of the company, and their most urgent priorities and deadlines.
Hire and develop talent that facilitates future growth opportunities.
Required Technical Skills:
Proficient in critical programming languages (Python, Java, PHP, etc.)
Knowledge of Android emulation technologies and VPS/VPN Infrastructure
Knowledge of cloud storage solutions (FreeNAS, ownCloud/NextCloud, etc.)
Experience using and customizing CRM (odoo, ZoHo, etc.)
Intermediate knowledge of additional frameworks preferable frameworks for machine learning/deep learning (TensorFlow, Keras, etc.)
Minimum of 7 years IT experience in complex, diverse projects
Proven experience defining overall IT strategy and managing a portfolio of projects from start to finish, meeting deadlines and budget requirements
Track record of driving IT innovation and technology-driven business outcomes
Proven experience of working with executive-level stakeholders
Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment, continuing to deliver quality service and consistently meet deadlines
Actively generates process improvements
Champions and drives change initiatives
Minimum of 3 years experience in team leadership with demonstrated ability to build high-functioning technical teams
Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
Experience defining and maintaining IT budgets. Eventually we’d like the IT Manager to own budgeting and annual planning for the IT department.
Knowledge of any (or all): Zimbra Email, System Administration, Server Configuration, VOIP systems
