Due to new Google Merchant Center requirements, I need to take the Google Product taxonomy list (see [url removed, login to view]) and turn it into a series of dependent dropdowns for a store's product entry screen. The taxonomy is currently in a Microsoft SQL Server database, with the data separated into 5 fields: f1, f2, f3, f4 and f5. Each field will correspond to an HTML Select field, with each field's value dependent on the previous Select's setting. See [url removed, login to view] for a mockup.
The page is built in classic ASP, with a Microsoft SQL Server database. I would prefer that you use some current code, such as JQuery, Ajax or another technology to accomplish the dependent dropdowns, however, the underlying page must remain in classic ASP.
I could just use the current dropdown as shown on the above page, but as you can see, it's way to wide, especially for some of my older stores that were built with an 800 pixel screen width. Dependent dropdowns will take up less real estate horizontally
