I am looking for someone how is very good with logical, fast and robust asp development skills that connect to a simple with MSSQL databases
I have an asp page that when accessed sent a renewal email to my customers. I cannot paste that link here as clicking on it will send people live reminders!
Clicking on the link runs a query of my online Database to produce a list of subscribers who have policies that are about to expire and need to be renewed. This query looks for individuals from 4 weeks before their renewal is due and for those two weeks overdue. When logged in as an admin I am also able to click on a slight variation to see who is on this list.
When it looks at the list in the DB it looks for thir most recently added policy and therefore current expiry date I think.
It also should be omiting any policies marked as inactive (this doesn't mean the policies are not live, it just means they have requested to NOT receive the reminder email any longer).
I have a few issues. People who renew usually have their new policy added to their existing user account. So the query looks by user ID only (I think). Sometimes existing users actually end up buying a new policy as a new customer rather than using our renewal system. This means they have a new policy that does not need renewing but they have an old customer ID that still looks like it required updating.
What I need to do is have someone tweak the query to make sure that anyone who is on the renewal list DOES not have a current policy under a new userID that has already been created. I would suggest that the best way to do this is to filter the current list and remove any currently active policy that has an email contact address that matches someone on the current renewal list. That way if they used the same email contact but under a new customer ID then they won't be hounded to renew when they already have.
I also need to make sure that policies marked as inactive a definitely being removed from the list before sending.
I would like to be able to slightly vary the emails that are sent based on how long they are before their renewal. Currently we send the same thing at 1,2,3,4 weeks before renewal and 1,2 weeks over due before we stop sending them.
I would like a link in my admin panel to see a unique email for each of the 6 different weeks. I would like to be able to edit and save those changes to vary the email message over time.
When someone finishes payment of a policy on our system they get a quite nice html version of their policy on screen that they can print out for their records.
I would like to enable a policy lookup button on the homepage of my site to reporduct this page so they can print it out again for their employer if required. We already have this feature in admin so we can grab code for this feature in part from the existing system.
This would be a simple link saying "Look up and Print my Policy". Clicking on this would let them put in a policy ID number and then hitting product certificate would bring up the page for printing from their local printer. IN cased where the dont know their current policy number their would be a simple field saying "Forgotten Your Policy Number?" and a field to "Please type your current email contact address and we will resend you your most recent policy details." We already have this feature in admin so we can grab code for this feature in part from the existing system.
I also have a very nice further development project to follow on from this for the person who proves to be a lateral thinker and can be cleaver and logical with their performance in the above task. i.e. I alsways have small bits of ongoing work for the right person who can deliver in good time frames with a current compliance view to Firefox, IE and Safari as a mandatory required
