I am updating a website for a friend of mine into ASP.NET and VB.NET in Visual Studio 2005 currently written in asp. This has all been done aside from two pages which i need converting (i am a php programmer predominantly, i'm just doing him a favour).
One of them displays basic search results (a table) from querying an ms sql database (using a DSN to connect) and the other of which displays detailed information regarding a specific record displayed on the first page. All i need is the pages converted into aspx so they can be integrated into my new site. There are no graphics/design issues, it is a simple table listing records and then a simple page displaying predefined information. Nothing new needs doing it just needs to work in [url removed, login to view] under Visual Studio 2005 and i need it quickly.
I have attached the two asp files, which need to be converted into aspx files. I have replaced the sensitive information (eg userid/password etc) with other placeholders. These currently function perfectly as asp files and the database queries etc are right so the details behind these don't need reworking.
I need the completed files, with basic descriptions of what does what and any help when i integrate it into my system (it will go within my masterpage design) if it does not immediately work.
I also need it as soon as possible!
NB: a search string can be used to search the table as a variable in the url named keyword and the perpage variable within the url specifies the number of values per page to display.
