The selected developer will be able to work directly from this document — no need to design features from scratch. ⸻ Core Requirements 1. Step Sequencer • Click-to-place and drag-to-resize notes • Vertical pitch lanes: continuous chromatic scale (C3, C#3, etc.) • BPM adjustable, save/load melody, MIDI export optional • Guide tone playback with selectable instrument sound 2. Pitch Tracking • Single-screen layout (sequencer + pitch overlay together) • Mic input pitch detection with ≤150 ms end-to-end latency (MVP target; possible optimization later) • Color-coded overlay: Green (±threshold cents), Yellow (flat), Red (sharp) • Accuracy threshold adjustable 0.05–0.25 semitone 3. WAV Export • Records mic to 44.1 kHz / 24-bit mono WAV • Saves to user-chosen location 4.
