I need professional advice and guidance on setting up a simple home recording studio The primary purpose of my podcast is solo recordings. The budget for equipment is $500. I am considering using a Focusrite Mic and 2 channel mixer, and Audacity software. I have some experience with podcasting and audio equipment, so I am looking for what I need to record audio books that will sound great and pass ACX muster.. Please include recommendations for soundproofing my recording space.
