E-Courts Hearing Dates Scraper

I handle a large volume of matters in Hyderabad and manage everything through an Oracle 19c database that feeds an application written in Oracle Forms 12c. Manually copying daily hearing dates from the e-Courts portal is no longer sustainable, so I want a small automation utility that logs in, fetches the hearing-date information for all my listed cases, and writes the results straight into an existing relational table. What I need the tool to do • Accept a list of case numbers (supplied by a simple text file, REST call, or direct SQL read—whichever is quickest to wire up). • Navigate the official e-Courts site, locate each case, and scrape only the Hearing Dates section for every new listing that appears. • Insert or update those records inside my current Oracle 19c table (columns are already in place); no schema changes are required from your side. • Run unattended on Windows, ideally via a scheduled task, and produce a concise success/error log so I can monitor jobs easily. Preferred tech stack Python with Selenium or Playwright is fine, but I am open to a lightweight Java solution if you demonstrate faster execution. In either case, native Oracle drivers (cx_Oracle / JDBC) must be used so that commits happen in a single transaction. Acceptance criteria 1. For a given test list of case numbers, the script reliably captures the latest hearing dates that appear on the website. 2. Existing rows get updated, new rows are added, and no duplicate data is created. 3. A log file records start time, number of cases processed, inserts, updates, and any failures. 4. Clear instructions are provided so I can adjust credentials, table names, and schedule the job myself. That’s the entire scope for now—later we might extend it to scrape judgment copies or other sections, but at this stage the brief is restricted to hearing dates only.
