Hi, For a plant-wide Ignition project, I would first standardise how machine data enters Ignition before expanding the Perspective dashboards. Otherwise each PLC quickly becomes its own one-off integration. The first step would be reviewing the existing Siemens PLCs, network architecture, Ignition Gateway/tag structure and the work already completed. From there I would define a consistent machine model for states such as running, stopped, faulted, idle and production counts. For machines without PLCs, CLICK PLCs can be a sensible option for basic digital monitoring where the I/O and communications requirements remain simple, provided the selected models integrate cleanly with the plant network and Ignition. I would then build reusable Ignition tags/components and Perspective views rather than duplicating screens machine by machine. I would only represent direct Siemens/Ignition experience and onsite availability that I can genuinely verify.
