Relevant past projects: - SharePoint-NodeJS-Sync-Service: A custom middleware using Microsoft Graph API for bi-directional SQL-to-List synchronization (handled 50k+ items). - PnP-PowerShell-file-organizer: An automation script that flattened nested folder structures and reapplied metadata based on taxonomy terms. - SPFx-Document-Router: A React-based web part allowing users to "drop" files that are auto-routed to Department libraries based on user profile attributes. The projects above highlight my approach: I build backend-heavy, scalable solutions rather than relying on brittle, out-of-the-box workflows. For your data synchronization, I will avoid standard Power Automate "Apply to Each" loops, which are incredibly slow and prone to timeout errors with large datasets. Instead, I will implement a lightweight Node.js solution (or Azure Function) utilizing the Microsoft Graph API's "Delta Query" feature. This ensures we only sync changed items, drastically reducing API calls and preventing throttling. For the file organization, I recommend a hybrid approach. I will use Power Automate for real-time routing of new uploads (detecting the uploader's Azure AD Department) and a PnP PowerShell script for any bulk historical organization.
