I'm seeking an experienced electrical engineer to calibrate park sensors on a Porsche. Key requirements: - Expertise in electrical systems, specifically in automotive applications. - Proficiency in park sensor calibration. - Experience with Porsche vehicle systems is a plus. Ideal skills and experience: - Electrical engineering degree or equivalent experience. - Hands-on experience with automotive electrical systems. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Please share relevant experience and approach for the task. We build a conversion based on the 718 Boxster. We are looking for someone that can help us get the park sensors to function correctly. My understanding is they are not adjustable.

I am applying on your project, and this is what I have done. A GPS L1 C/A receiver on a Zynq-7000 started failing after a streaming refactor that should have been numerically inert. All 4 satellites diverged from epoch 1. Measured against the software reference: - fd error 18-66 Hz (normal ~20 Hz) - phase error pinned near the 90 deg ceiling - code error 0.78-0.84 chips - divergence from epoch 1-10, on every PRN at once That signature was the diagnosis. A loop-filter bug drifts late and hits one satellite hardest. Wrong sample alignment fails immediately and fails everywhere. So I stopped reading the tracking loop and diffed the two files that share the windowing math: Python: FS = 4.092e6 C: #define FS 4e6 sample_offset = int(coff*FS) % N_1MS was derived independently on each side. One duplicated constant, silently desynced across a language boundary. After the fix: fd ~20 Hz, code error 0.07-0.20 chips, divergence late-epoch only, all 4 PRNs. Verified on hardware, not in simulation. This had already been reported to me as "a small non-blocking discrepancy." Reading the actual numbers is what caught it. I can share the full before/after diff reports.

Hi, i have a few experience in helping some client create emulated part for an automobile industry, if i am not mistaken its BMW not porsche, but if you can send sensor part number with photo or video, i can take a look at it first to see if we can have workaround. I checked it wont be easy create replacement for it because the sensor is tied to parkAssist system, but its wont hurt take a look at it

Thanks for sharing the 718 Boxster conversion context. I understand the goal is to get the park sensors functioning correctly, even if the sensors themselves are not adjustable. I can help by tracing the park assist circuit end-to-end, verifying sensor power, grounds, CAN communication, module inputs, and any compatibility issues introduced by the conversion. My approach would be: - Confirm the exact Porsche park assist components installed - Check wiring integrity, pinouts, grounding, and supply voltage - Diagnose the control module, sensor signal behavior, and fault codes - Verify whether the conversion changed bumper geometry, module coding, or sensor mounting depth - Identify whether the issue is calibration, coding, hardware compatibility, or installation-related I focus on precise electrical troubleshooting and practical fixes for automotive systems, especially where OEM modules and retrofit/conversion work need careful diagnosis. If the system is not mechanically adjustable, I’ll help determine what needs to be corrected in wiring, coding, module setup, or sensor placement so it operates as intended. Best regards.
