Craft & Manage Azure Security Policies

I’m looking for a seasoned cyber-security engineer—ideally someone who, like me, has spent a decade working with Microsoft Defender and the broader Azure ecosystem—to take full ownership of our security policy creation and management. The scope is end-to-end: • Policy development: translate our business, regulatory and technical requirements into clear, actionable Azure and Defender policies. • Policy implementation: deploy those policies across our subscriptions, resource groups and endpoint fleets, validating that every control is correctly enforced. • Policy review & updates: establish a cadence for continuous improvement, implement versioning, and document changes so auditors can trace every decision. At the end, I expect: • A complete, well-structured policy suite in editable format (Word or Markdown). • Implementation scripts or templates (Azure Policy, ARM/Bicep, Intune, or PowerShell—use what fits best). • A short runbook outlining how to review and update the policies going forward. Please focus your proposal on your relevant experience: highlight comparable projects, the Defender/Azure tooling you used, and any measurable security or compliance gains you achieved. If we decide to move forward, I’ll share environment details and set milestones for drafting, deployment and final sign-off.
