The interesting thing about writing a short story, is that sometimes the writer seems to not even notice he is doing it. Take Michael Martinez, for example. At roughly 1.85 meters tall he's taller than average, and at 120 kilograms heavy he is also a bit more plump than average. But where he really excels is the art of accidental story telling. Just this morning, in fact, Michael was found trying to place a bid on freelancer.com. He had woken up, taken his medications, stopped for a short while in the restroom, and then got on his computer thinking "I should get back into freelancing." However, Dexter, a ferocious feline who seems to think he rules the house, jumped up and meowed loudly in Michael's face, demanding "Let me outside!" So Michael got up and let Dexter outside, and then sat back down at his computer. Michael was scrolling through the different projects he could bid on. Most looked boring. Then there was one that caught his eye: writing a short story! Michael's smile grew. He knew what he wanted to do today. And so, he opened up the project to write a bid... and found himself writing this short story instead. (Though if he is hired, the short story that is written will certainly be longer than this one.)
