Buddy Press Expert for registration fixes, adding option to Disable Event Emails by members, and minor site updates 6/25/26 Tasks [login to view URL] New Members – Registration – fix in mobile using chrome A. Registration of new members should work as follows: 1. Go to register at top of homepage, and fill out form. Any user name can be used and roistered, even if already exists, as long as different email address used. Must answer “yes” to both questions 2. Email sent with activation link to the registered email. 3. Click “Activate” on new page with activation key. 4. Should get message confirming registration and can login on same page or on homepage B. Problems: 1. When adding a user name, many times get message “name already exists” though not in db and email is sent with activation key without form being submitted. 2. If name does not already exist and is accepted, after activation get another page asking to submit activation key instead of confirmation page. Fix this. C. Improvements: 1. Profile (top right)/Settings page is not found – it should contain option for uploading selfie photo. Admin and other selfies have been added so it used to work. 2. Event form – currently: “Do you agree to upload a profile photo within 1 week (required). Change to - “Do you agree to upload a profile photo within 3 days (required and understand if not your profile will be auto deleted and you will have to re-register? Add at profile/settings. CREATE CODE FOR THAT. 2. Homepage: Add additional field: “Using Site” under “Reviews” button at bottom. Add Text in same font/format as other fields: Registration: Fill out form and add selfie within 3 days to avoid deletion. Add at top right profile under settings – photo. Event Creation: 1. Select “Create Event” at bottom left of homepage. 2. Add event title and description, date/time, upload image from your device, add or create a new venue from venue dropdown list: If new, add venue name in box then click blue line to create the venue name then add address, city and state. Next add organizer. To add new organizer, add registered user name and email address. Next select “Tickets/New RSVP” (red box) After opens add end sale (rsvp) time which usually corresponds to event start time (mandatory). Add number of attendees under “Capacity.” (also mandatory) then SAVE RSVP. After saved the rsvp info added will show. Next select “Submit Event” at which time emails are sent to members which takes 2-3 minutes. That’s It! D. Add option for members to disable emails on new events
