I am writing to get a quote for this project which must be implemented using c++ and media player SDK. The visualisation must satisfy the following requirements:
1) The visualisation would need to be able to work with two input streams (music being played on the media player and the line-in stream such as a microphone or a external cd player) at the same time. Now, this feature is very important as the visualisation need to deal with two sound sources coming at the same time. There has to be some means of differentiating between the two.
It must be implemented using media player SDK 9 and c++ and it is not supposed to be a stand-alone application. Rather the final visualisation must be a DLL file that can be installed in the visualisation directory of the windows media player.
2) The report must have all the required chapters carefully detailing the necessary information in the project handbook that I attached with my previous message. This is the most important part of the project as it carried 80 out of the total 120 marks for the project. The language used must be of a scientific and formal form found in journals and technical documents. You need to have a very good command of English.
3) Most importantly, you must have a clear idea from the start how you are going to implement such visualisation and whether this is feasible at all. If not, you must inform me now, because otherwise I have invested a lot of time and money and there will not be any means of me finding a replacement for you after you have started the project.
What I mean by this, is that since this is a very big task, you must do at least a week of research into the possibilities and then let me know if you have all the necessary knowledge to do this.
4) Finally, I would require two visualisation for this project, one will be a simplistic bars project with different colours for the mic input and the music that can be easily tested and verified by seeing the functionality of it.
The other more exciting one, would be to try and make a more interesting visualisation with some lively colours and animation probably similar to those found by default on WMP including Ambience, Battery, etc.
Please do make sure that you can guarantee the quality and the deadline of the completed project with the completed project report which is (1 January 2007).
