.NET Thumbnail Control

I need thumbnail control for an application I have written in VB.NET. I'm currently using an activex control I purchased here: [url removed, login to view]
It has every feature I need BUT it is so slow! My application deals with a large number of very large files. The problem with this control is that is seems to regenerate all the thumbnails whenever the control recieves focus.
So what I'm looking for is someone who can essentially build this same control and make it much faster!
I think I need to clarify a few things based on comments I have received.
1. I need a windows control, not web control.
2. I need to be able to handle events such as double-click, right click, etc.
3. It needs to support TIFF files
Really, you should take a look at the viscom control and run some of their demo apps to see what I need. I don't necessarily need all the features it contains, but I do use many of the.
