I need 3 .bat files that do the following from a DOS prompt. This will be after running NT4DOS that will mount the hard drive as the C: drive or D through H.
First, I need one that will search the hard drive for the following directories. Only one of the directories will exist. I need the .bat file to identify the drive letter that the directory exists on and which directory it is.
The directory will be either windowssystem32config or winntsystem32config
The directory will most likely reside on the C: drive, but could be on D: or E: etc. I want the .bat file to be able to detect the directory if it is on any drive letter from C: to H:
Once the directory has been identified and the drive letter has been determined, I need another .bat file to run this command: ntsam c:windowssystem32configsam –l
The directory will be one of the two from above, and the drive letter will be C, D, E, F G or H.
If the above can be done as one .bat file or function, that would be even better.
The last .bat file will need to run this command: ntsam c:windowssystem32configsam –r xyz
The xyz will need to be determined by what the user puts when running the .bat file. For example, if the user wants xyz to equal the word Admin, then they would need to be able to input the word Admin when executing the .bat file. Such as: [url removed, login to view] Admin
Please let me know if this is possible to do or if there is a better way to accomplish it using some type of script.
