I am looking for someone to design the hardware and software for a call system.
I am looking for the PCBs to be designed and built but I can handle the enclosures and connection of buttons and lights etc.
This design is for a system to be installed in a Nightclub/Bar situation. The requirement is to be able to make various calls from multiple locations to summons assistance and various displays to show the location of each call.
They will be a box with three call buttons (Red, Orange & Green).
The display boxes consist of a series of indication lights (3 for each call point) and 2 sounder outputs. I need to have at lease 3 display boxes.
A member of staff requiring assistance would press one of their 3 call buttons. Their light for that button would flash locally along with the light on the display panel. In the case of Security being requested a loud sounder will sound (sounder 1) or in the case of the other two call buttons a simple buzzer in the display panel will sound.
This will alert staff to the request and they will examine the location of the call. They then press the acknowledge button which will change the lights from flashing to being solid. This lets the caller and all other staff know that the appropriate staff have been alerted and are on their way.
Pressing the reset button on the display panels or pressing the call button again on the call point will then reset the call and extinguish the light.
The system must be able to display more than one call although the acknowledge and reset buttons can function for all outstanding calls.
If possible it would be desirable that the control unit incorporates a clock and means of logging requests and have an interface to access these, preferable by RS232, TCP/IP or USB Memory Stick. It should log anytime a call is made, when its acknowledged and when its reset and the location of the actions.
It would be preferred that the call points and displays are wired using some kind of logic line eg 4 core cable (2 core for power, 2 for data) with each unit having some form of ID bit but this is open to negotiation.
A further option would be for a wireless connection between call points and display but this is not a requirement as I expect the cost would quite a lot higher.
