Our company needs someone to write code for a Linux based video encoder. The code must perform three functions:
1. Control a physical on-off switch to start/stop the encoding program. (Right now this is done through a web interface)
2. Send a voltage to light an LED when the encoding program has been started.
3. Perform an HTTP call when the program has been started/stopped.
We have spoken directly with the product manufacturer and he has assured us that the scripting is straight forward and simple.

There is no serial port (but the USB) that can control the unit ... you need a network driver ... this is client-server programming - rare and expensive
I have the solution for you. All I need is your go ahead and I will start testing the requirements. Thanks in advance.
