We have a windows XP SP3 system.
We are looking to hire a developer to write a batch file or command-line tool for us that will change the system's "path" environmental variable to the following: C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_18\bin
The program must delete anything else that is currently stored in the "path" variable.
We have tried to create our own BATCH file using "SETX", but we don't want to have to install the service pack needed to use SETX.
I believe there is a way to do what we need by editing a registry variable.
Most importantly, the "path" variable must be changed permanantly, and for all users on the system.
